The Delaware Forest Service is currently seeking to hire a
Conservation Technician I. This position will be responsible for applying
conservation maintenance practices in support of the management of state
forestland. Duties may include, but are not limited to, performing maintenance
and repairs involving plumbing, carpentry, painting, welding, construction,
grounds maintenance, equipment, and vehicles. Incumbent must be able to operate
construction equipment and vehicles and will be trained to assist with prescribes
fires and wildfires. Other duties that
this position could include, but are not limited to, assisting other State
Forests on larger construction or maintenance projects. There will also be
opportunities to travel to assist with out-of-state wildfires.
