Summary Statement

This is a Casual Seasonal appointment with a maximum duration of up to 6 months, working 37.5 hours per week.

This position provides direct administrative support to a Delaware Superior Court Judge. As part of the Delaware Judicial Branch, the role is designated as confidential, and the employee serves at the pleasure of the assigned Judge.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Judicial Secretary II
Applicants must meet have education, training, and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
  1. Experience collecting, compiling, evaluating, and analyzing data and information.
  2. Experience coordinating administrative operations or functions.
  3. Experience using standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets, or databases.
  4. Experience creating reports and various documents.
  5. Experience in the principles, practices, and procedures of office administration and management.
  6. Ability to communicate courteously and effectively to a diverse audience and on sensitive/confidential issues.
  7. Excellent writing and organizational skills.
  8. Ability to handle a high volume of work.

Conditions of Hire

Criminal background check: A satisfactory criminal background check is required as a condition of hire.  The recruiting agency may require the applicant to pay for the criminal background check as part of the conditional offer of hire.

This is a Casual/Seasonal position which is a non-pension eligible position without healthcare and/or other benefits.

Selection Process
