Nestled in the Piedmont’s Red Clay Valley, visitors to Auburn Valley State Park will discover the history of the Marshall Family, Yorklyn’s rich industrial history, and revitalization of this site.
Essential functions are fundamental, core functions common to all positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class. Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here.
· May performs grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, athletic field maintenance, landscape bed maintenance, trash removal, vegetation removal, leaf removal and snow/ice removal.
· May performs custodial services in restrooms, offices and other buildings.
· Provide customer services by explaining regulations, answering visitor requests, needs and complaints, and providing information about the park and surrounding areas.
· Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability and good communication skills.
· Maintain a positive attitude.
· Other duties as assigned.

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
Maintenance – Custodial/Grounds
1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
2. Experience using landscaping equipment and hand or power tools. (Grounds only)
3. Possession of a valid driver’s license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving.

This is a Casual/Seasonal position which is a non-pension eligible position without healthcare and/or other benefits.
