Deputy Attorneys General, with critical support from criminal special investigators, victim service specialists, paraprofessionals, and administrative staff, prosecute criminal cases, enforce consumer laws, provide counsel to state agencies, ensure the public's access to open government, protect the abused, and much more.
The
Delaware Department of Justice seeks a Legal Assistant (Paralegal) to provide
support to Deputy Attorneys General in the Family Division, Child Support
Enforcement Unit in New Castle County.
This Legal Assistant (Paralegal) supports Child Support Deputy Attorneys General from daily calendar management to drafting motions, pleadings and discovery. There is a high-volume workload. This Legal Assistant (Paralegal) maintains daily contact with court personnel in obtaining information on litigation case status and scheduling issues. This Legal Assistant (Paralegal) is the primary point of contact with the Division of Child Support Services case specialists. The position requires significant telephone and personal interaction with caseworkers at the client agency, Family Court personnel and the public. This position requires excellent organizational abilities.
