Summary Statement

A variety of seasonal park positions may be available at Bellevue State Park:

  1. Revenue Attendant (Fee Collector): $11.00 - responsible for welcoming park visitors, disseminating information and collecting and accounting for park entrance fees.
  2. Park Maintenance: $11.00 - responsible for the maintenance of grounds, facilities and equipment in a park or a recreation area.
  3. Administrative Support: $11.00 - $13.00 - responsible for selling park permits, providing customer service by explaining regulations, answering visitor requests, needs and complaints, and providing information about the park and surrounding area.
  4. Event Coordinator: $12.00 - $14.00 - responsible for administrative management and event coordination for reservations of Bellevue special event facilities for weddings and other special events.

Work is performed indoors and outdoors, weekends, evenings and holidays as scheduled to meet facility needs.

Essential Functions

  • Collecting appropriate fees and accountability for handling of money.
  • Provide excellent customer service and park information to visitors.
  • Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability and good communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

Revenue Attendant

  1. Knowledge of working with money and making change.
  2. Knowledge of math, such as addition and subtraction.
  3. Possession of a valid driver’s license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).

Park Maintenance

  1. Must be at least 17 years of age.
  2. Experience using landscaping equipment and hand or power tools.
  3. Possession of a valid driver’s license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).

Administrative Support

  1. Six months customer service experience.
  2. Six months experience in cash handling and writing receipts.
  3. Six months experience in standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets or databases.

Event Coordinator

  1. Six months experience in interpreting rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  2. Six months experience in office operations and functions.
  3. Six months experience in cash handling or writing receipts.
  4. Six months experience using Microsoft Office Programs including Outlook, Excel, and Publisher.
  5. Possession of a valid driver’s license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).
