Multiple summer youth employment positions for young people aged 14 – 21 years of age with the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Parks and Recreation. Positions available on Field Teams working in each of the three counties, and individual park placements in one of the 14 DE State Parks statewide. All members complete park-based projects that impact visitor experience and conservation and trail projects throughout state parks in the team’s region. All positions are seasonal positions working up to 28 hours per week June 21 – August 15, 2021.
The mission of the Delaware State Parks YCC is to engage youth in important conservation and park projects while providing learning that fosters teamwork, self-esteem, social responsibility, and respect for the environment.

Consideration will also be given to students who are unable to adhere to these dates because of snow days and school schedule in June.

Work shirts, protective equipment and tools will be provided. Transportation from base site to work area will be provided.
** This is an environmental stewardship summer job, not a summer camp experience; the participants will work hard, sometimes in difficult conditions including mud, hot sun, and mosquitoes and flies.
