JOB REQUIREMENTS for Park Patrol Officers

Prior to assignment, appointees must successfully complete multiple day trainings which will require physical components. This course is administered by the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control and will be held in May, 2020. Coursework includes but is not limited to report writing, defensive tactics, ethics, rules and regulations, radio procedures, ASP baton, Oleoresin Capsicum spray (Training and Exposure), and First Aid/CPR.

Criminal background check: A satisfactory criminal background check is required as a condition of hire. The recruiting agency may require the applicant to pay for the criminal background check as part of the conditional offer of hire.
