The Delaware Department of Agriculture is currently
seeking an Environmental Scientist II/III to work in the Nutrient Management

operations. The on-premises evaluations require analysis of records of
application of manure, fertilizer, and other soil amendments to compare with
professional recommendations. Visual inspection of elements related to animal
agriculture and storage of nutrients must also be completed while wearing
personal protective equipment. The Nutrient Management (NM) Program uses a
cloud database for carrying out job duties. Strong command of
environmental science principles and clear communication is needed for
education and outreach during inspections, to ensure farmers or managers

is guided by a Commission of stakeholders appointed by legislators and the
Governor.
