Summary Statement

Incumbent is responsible for maintaining effective operations within the Department of Technology and Information (DTI) Output Management team. Working within our customer’s requirements and service level agreements, the incumbent will be responsible for processing IT output in an accurate and timely manner. The incumbent will be standing on their feet for approximately five hours per day.

The Output Management Specialist reports to the Lead Output Management Specialist.

Essential Functions

The Output Management Specialist is responsible for the following:

  • Operation and troubleshooting of output processing and office equipment such as consoles, laser printers, inserters, binders, scanners, etc.
  • Routine maintenance of the equipment within the parameters of vendor maintenance agreements.
  • Preparation, packaging and delivery of computer output as defined by documented instructions, procedures, and request tickets.
  • Ensuring the quality and accuracy of computer output and mailings as defined by special requests and/or within documented instructions and procedures.
  • Maintaining logs of work processed and performing control total verification/balancing activities.
  • Interacting with state agencies in a way that provides efficient and courteous service to our customers.
  • Mail and package receipt and delivery, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Performing other additional tasks, as assigned.

Job Requirements

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess a minimum of 6 months experience operating computer peripheral equipment and office equipment.
  • Possess the ability to meet deadlines and conform to established schedules.
  • Possess the ability to analyze problems quickly and adopt an effective course of action.

Conditions of Hire

Criminal background check: A satisfactory fingerprint based criminal background check administered by the Delaware State Police is required as a Condition of Hire.
