Start your career at DHSS as an ADVANCED PRACTICE NURSE, NURSE CONSULTANT, NURSING SUPERVISOR, COMPLIANCE NURSE, REGISTERED NURSE, LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE, or CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT and qualify for recruitment incentives starting at $3,000. Referral bonuses of $1,000 are available to referring DHSS employees.

The Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) seeks to increase the number of applicants for clinical nursing positions by offering a recruitment incentive to eligible Advanced Practice Nurse, Nurse Consultant, Nursing Supervisor, Compliance Nurse, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, and Certified Nursing Assistant candidates in accordance with the DHSS Recruitment and Referral Incentive Program.
The program provides incentives as follows:
NOTE: This program is administered by the Department of Health and Social Services. The program may be terminated by the State at any time.
The nurse consultant provides expert nursing consultation
to clinical staff, providers, and community partners. Duties include,
developing guidelines and manuals for specific aspects of nursing services;
Formulating standards of nursing practice in a specialty area and ensures
quality assurance, with regard to competence in theory and technique;
responsible for preparing educational materials and assisting in planning and
development of health and educational programs for staff and community groups.
