Deputy Attorneys General, with critical support from criminal special investigators, victim service specialists, paraprofessionals, and administrative staff, prosecute criminal cases, enforce consumer laws, provide counsel to state agencies, ensure the public's access to open government, protect the abused, and much more.
The Delaware Department of Justice is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant (Paralegal) to support the Child Predator Task Force based in Kent County. The Child Predator Task Force is a multidisciplinary, statewide law enforcement initiative focused on investigating and prosecuting crimes involving the exploitation of children, and is comprised of a Deputy Attorney General, Special Investigators, and Delaware State Police Detectives. This position provides comprehensive paralegal, investigative, and administrative support from case inception through prosecution. Duties include drafting subpoenas and court documents, managing case files, navigating law-enforcement service provider portals, assisting with discovery and trial preparation, coordinating public awareness efforts, supporting grant-funded program administration, and ensuring timely case progression across all counties in accordance with court and grand jury deadlines.
