Summary Statement

This position provides inventory control, purchasing, distribution, materials management, and supervision. Duties: managing and overseeing the Office of Preparedness Logistics warehouse and logistics staff to include the warehouse facility, vehicle fleet, staffing, and overall inventory control, materials handling, and distribution service. In addition, this position serves as the lead administrator for the Inventory Management and Tracking System (IMATS) used for planning, and coordinating the supply, storage and distribution operations within the Office of Preparedness warehouse.

  • Collects, receives, marks, sorts, stacks, distributes, and inventories supplies, materials, equipment, parts, or other articles.
     
  • Locates and selects material, supplies, tools, equipment, parts, or other articles from stockroom, warehouse, storage yard, or other related areas.
     
  • Adjusts, repairs, assembles, or prepares products, supplies, equipment, or other items according to specifications or customer requirements.
     
  • Operates a variety of equipment for the purpose of preparing, inspecting, weighing, evaluating, recording, marking, or transporting supplies, materials, equipment, or other articles.
     
  • Records type, quantity, value, or location of material, supplies, equipment or other articles received, shipped, used, or issued. 
     
  • Cleans and maintains supplies, tools, equipment, instruments, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations; ensures security of inventory. 

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Supply, Storage and Distribution Coordinator
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

  1. Two years experience in inventory control such as ordering, receiving, tracking, storing and handling inventory; disbursing materials, supplies and equipment. 
  2. One year experience in planning, directing and coordinating the supply, storage and distribution operations within a facility or warehouse.
  3. One year experience in creating reports which includes combining and presenting data from multiple sources in an organized format. 
  4. One year experience in using standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets or databases. 
  5. Knowledge of staff supervision acquired through course work, academic training, training provided through an employer, or performing as a lead worker overseeing the work of others; OR supervising staff which may include planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of others; OR supervising through subordinate supervisors a group of professional, technical, and clerical employees.
