The Division of Parks and Recreation oversees more than 26,000 acres in 17 state parks, the Brandywine Zoo. The Division protects cultural and historic resources, and provides a wide variety of recreational facilities for Delawareans and visitors.

Summary Statement

The Photography/Videography Manager for Delaware State Parks will oversee all photography and videography for the Division. The position is part of the marketing department, and will document programs, natural landscapes, events, exhibits, and experiences within Delaware State Parks as well as plan and coordinate staged photo and video shoots. The Photography/Videography Manager will also oversee the Division’s Volunteer Photographer Program.

  • Photography for Delaware State Parks.
  • Videography for Delaware State Parks.
  • Manages the Delaware State Parks volunteer photographer program.
  • Coordinates staged photo and video shoots.
  • Manages photo requests and the shared photography calendar.
  • Responds to media inquiries and photo selection requests.
  • Keeps inventory of all Delaware State Parks photo and video equipment.
  • Maintains organization of the Delaware State Parks photo drive.
  • Manages the Delaware State Parks YouTube channel.
  • Oversees the visual style of Delaware State Parks photos and videos.
  • Fosters an environment that allows for open communication to flow between the field and Central Office.
  • Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability, and good communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Maintains a positive attitude.
  • Other duties as required.

Job Requirements

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:  

  1. Experienced in both photography and videography.
  2. Six months experience in supervising groups, staff or volunteers.
  3. Experience in professional photography with a DSLR or mirrorless camera.
  4. Experience in professional videography.
  5. Experience in photo editing.
  6. Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Lightroom.
  7. Possession of a valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).

Additional Posting Information

This position will have Statewide responsibilities which requires travel throughout the State.  The State of Delaware provides transportation services to State agencies.
