Summary Statement

The Principal responsibility is to provide highly effective technical support for DTI’s CyberSecurity technical infrastructure.  Highly effective means that the services for the assigned assets are provided in a way that is efficient, meets the needs of the customers (both DTI and other state agencies) and customers in compliance with DTI policy and procedures.  The services will be primarily rendered through a combination of personal effort, joint effort with others in the workgroup, and collaboration with other DTI staff, vendors, and customers.   

The SENIOR ANALYST is expected to possess strong technical and cybersecurity proficiency in one or more of the core Technology Domains, technical proficiency in several others, and technical awareness in the rest.   

The SENIOR ANALYST will report to the Director of Enterprise Security Operations.  

The Technology Domains include the following:

  • Mainframe Systems Programming Support
  • Mainframe Network Control Program Support
  • Web Application Firewalls
  • Windows Operating System Security Support
  • MidRange Server Support – UNIX, Windows, LINUX
  • Middleware Support
  • Web Engineering Support
  • Database Support – Adabas, DB2, IMS, Oracle, SQL Server
  • Data Modeling
  • Planning
  • Middleware Security Support

Selective Requirement

Selective Requirements must be met in addition to the job requirements.  Applicants who do not possess the selective requirement will not be qualified.

Possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in cybersecurity related field, role or training.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Systems Engineering Senior Analyst

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in IT, related field OR equivalent work experience.
  • Possess professional certifications or relevant training commensurate with the position’s ADVANCED to EXPERT technical capabilities.
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably in cybersecurity, in any of the following: Web Application Firewall, Mainframe Systems Programming Support, Mainframe Network Control Program Support, MidRange Server Support, Middleware Support, Web Engineering Support, Database Support, Data Modeling or Planning.
  • Possess a minimum 3 years of project experience including defining, evaluating, leading, tracking, and reporting on complex multi-resource project.

Conditions of Hire

Criminal background check: A satisfactory fingerprint based criminal background check administered by the Delaware State Police is required as a Condition of Hire.
