Summary Statement

The seasonal facility monitor position is responsible for on-site supervision of celebrations, festivals, and other special events, ensuring compliance with all rules, regulations, and procedures.  The facility monitor will be responsible for opening and closing the venue, receiving deliveries, and coordinating event setup, managing the event schedule, and ensuring that all facility cleanup procedures are followed at the end of each event.Work is performed indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions.  Duties vary for each special event facility. Applicants must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as scheduled.

Essential Functions

  • Set-up, monitoring and clean-up support for park programs and special events.
  • Maintain good public relations with park visitors and staff.
  • Demonstrate strong problem solving and decision making skills when faced with a challenge.
  • Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability and good communication skills.
  • Maintain a positive attitude.
  • Perform other related work as required.

Job Requirements

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas.

  1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
  2. Six months experience in customer service.
  3. Possession of a valid driver’s license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).
