Summary Statement

A variety of seasonal park positions may be available at Bellevue State Park:

  1. Event Coordinator - responsible for administrative management and event coordination for reservations of Bellevue special event facilities for weddings and other special events. 
  2. Revenue Attendant (Fee Collector) - responsible for welcoming park visitors, disseminating information and collecting and accounting for park entrance fees.

Essential Functions

Essential functions are fundamental, core functions common to all positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class.  Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here.

  • Collecting appropriate fees and accountability for handling of money.
  • Provide excellent customer service and park information to visitors.
  • Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability and good communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

Event Coordinator

  1. Six months experience in interpreting rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  2. Six months experience in office operations and functions.
  3. Six months experience in cash handling or writing receipts.
  4. Six months experience using Microsoft Office Programs including Outlook, Excel, and Publisher.
  5. Possession of a valid driver’s license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).  

Revenue Attendant

  1. Knowledge of working with money and making change.
  2. Knowledge of math, such as addition and subtraction.
  3. Possession of a valid driver’s license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).

Conditions of Hire
