Summary Statement

The incumbent in this position may operate a state dental van to transport and deliver supplies and equipment to the schools and other venues and between clinic.  Duties include: setting up and breaking down mobile dental equipment, providing administrative support for the mobile operations, escorting children to and from classrooms, and recording height, weight and temperature.

Essential Functions

  • Operates vehicles providing inter-community transportation of incapacitated persons and volunteer workers.
     
  • Ensures seating and wheelchair restraints are appropriate to the specific needs of each person.
     
  • Performs routine maintenance to ensure safe mechanical condition and cleanliness of vehicles.
     
  • Assists with passengers boarding and exit of vehicles and other facilities.
     
  • May operate facility support service vehicles such as trash, laundry and food trucks.

Job Requirements

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

  1. Possession of a valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving.
