Summary Statement

The Facilities Coordinator will coordinate, plan, manage and assign all physical facilities operations and maintenance for all DTI facilities statewide, including the William Penn Building, Biggs Data Center, Carvel Data Center, and any DTI facilities as assigned or acquired.

Responsible for performing IT equipment rack & stack, and data cabling & wiring, within state data centers and IT facilities.

Manage the performance of physical cleaning and maintenance, fixed asset inventory control, stockroom and supply, warehousing and storeroom, fire and security alarms, physical safety and security, shipping and receiving, and rental/loaner equipment.

Coordinate with the Office of Management and Budget/Division of Facilities Management, all building repairs, renovations, and upgrades to physical plant and property, utilities, parking lot and outside building property. Supervise contractors, vendors involved in activities on these sites.

The ability to manage and perform Project Management responsibilities, when needed, for all DTI managed Facilities projects while acting as a liaison with the Office of Management and Budget/Division of Facilities Management.

Responsible for building environmental conditioning, utility usage and provisioning, fire suppression and security alarm systems, power generation and uninterruptible power supply, mechanical maintenance systems and other systems required to maintain DTI operations.

Responsible for physical property distribution and space planning, fixed asset inventory tracking database, furniture and fixtures provisioning, supply ordering system, and other related administrative tasks as required.

Conduct safety drills and plan emergency contingencies in conjunction with Federal, State and Local laws, statutes, codes, rules and inspections. Arrange the building evacuation plans, system testing and fire suppression regimens necessary for safe prevention and operation.

Perform or coordinate all building inspections, physical inventory assessments, audits and other activities involved in the safe and proper operation of a large complex building. Retain building and plot plans, as-built drawings, maintenance schedules, physical designs and drafts. Write and review specifications for planning, maintenance and control of all building systems.

Estimate operational costs, implementation schedules and budgetary allowances required to maintain the facilities. Prepare weekly reports on project status involving building renovations, upgrades and operational status.

  • Knowledge or training in building operations or maintenance.
  • Knowledge or training in project management and business management techniques.
  • Experience with CAT6, fiber and similar cables/wiring.
  • Experience with rack and stack of IT equipment or similar hardware.
  • Experience performing warehouse management or storage/inventory control of fixed assets.
  • Experience coordinating work and schedules of contractors, vendors and service providers to complete installations, repairs or routine maintenance.
