Summary Statement

The Indian River Marina Seasonal Administrative Support position is responsible for welcoming park visitors, disseminating information and collecting and accounting for Transient Dockage and Trailer Storage.   Duties will include taking transient reservations, maintaining files on reservations and trailer storage, issuing parking passes and discount cards and running an automated sales program and other duties as assigned.  This is a seasonal position which includes weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Essential Functions

  • Collects appropriate fees and accountability for handling of money.
  • Serves as liaison with the public, clients, staff and others to exchange information and explain services, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Maintains and compiles fiscal and narrative records and reports.
  • Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability and good communication skills.
  • Maintain a positive attitude.
  • Other duties are required.

Job Requirements

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:  

  1. Six months customer service experience.
  2. Six months experience in cash handling, writing receipts.
  3. Six months experience in using standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets or databases.

Criminal background check:  A satisfactory criminal background check is required as a condition of hire.  The recruiting agency may require the applicant to pay for the criminal background check as part of the conditional offer of hire.
