Introduction

Bellevue State Park is home to several venues available for weddings, celebrations and gatherings of all types. Bellevue Hall provides elegant indoor settings for receptions and corporate functions, while the mansion's grounds and gardens are the perfect backdrop for an outdoor wedding.   The park was acquired by the State of Delaware in 1976.

Summary Statement

This seasonal position will sell park permits, provide customer service by explaining regulations, answer visitor requests, needs and complaints, and provide information about the park and surrounding areas. Responsibilities may include completing daily deposits, verifying fee booth revenue and paperwork, creating associated revenue reports, completing school bus exemption forms and follow-up paper work, running an automated sales program, tracking supplies and inventory, and other clerical duties as required.   Applicants must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Essential Functions

  • Collects appropriate fees and accountability for handling of money.
  • Serves as liaison with the public, clients, staff and others to exchange information and explain services, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Maintains and compiles fiscal and narrative records and reports.
  • Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability and good communication skills.
  • Maintain a positive attitude.
  • Other duties are required.

Job Requirements

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:  

  1. Six months customer service experience.
  2. Six months experience in cash handling, writing receipts.
  3. Six months experience in using standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets or databases.

Conditions of Hire

As a condition of hire you must possess a valid driver's license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).

Selection Process
