Summary Statement

Principal responsibilities include overall strategic and technical management of highly skilled security teams, that focus on writing of secure code, scanning for application vulnerabilities, securing application web services, integration of cyber security in the SDLC along with implementing an application security program to achieve application security goals.  The Technology Senior Manager/Security will focus on securing enterprise applications, identity management, access governance and/or large-scale security access administration as well as, best practice IT strategies for systems that are aligned with the state government.  

This senior level manager is responsible for the full life cycle of enterprise-wide hardware, software and network solutions, large project leadership, web development leadership and overseeing the delivery of advanced application security toolsets. The candidate will assist in formulating and administering policies and procedures, including implementing long range goals and objectives and providing security server architectural design and implementation for major projects.  The selected individual will have an overall understanding of complex systems and the ability to interact with cross-functional teams. Strong knowledge of IT architecture, hardware, web security, identity and access management, application firewalls, intrusion detection as well as threats and vulnerabilities is required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Technology Senior Manager - Application Security

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in IT, related field OR equivalent work experience.
  • Possess a minimum of 10 years management experience in Information Technology.
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience with enterprise solutions across a broad range of customers and solutions such as Identity and Access Management, firewalls, routers, virtual clouds or storage area networks.

Conditions of Hire

Criminal background check: A satisfactory fingerprint based criminal background check administered by the Delaware State Police is required as a Condition of Hire.
