Summary Statement

This position is responsible for all day to day operations of the waterpark.   Recruits, trains, and supervises qualified temporary pool staff.  Manages staff performance in accordance with Human Resources policies; schedules staff;  provides high quality customer service, ensuring that all pool staff respond to customer service needs and consistently enforce facility rules; responsible for pump room operations and facility operating records. Work is performed under various weather conditions.  

Essential Functions

Schedules, assigns and reviews the work of seasonal waterpark staff.

  • Plans and coordinates maintenance to ensure all areas and facilities of the waterpark are functioning according to established standards.
  • Ensures public safety through regular inspection of waterpark facilities.
  • Performs appropriate rescue and medical services as required.
  • Maintains and compiles narrative records and reports.
  • Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability and good communication skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas.

  1. One year aquatics experience or facility management, working with the public, groups and organizations.
  2. Six months experience in staff supervision of two or more employees.

Conditions of Hire

Applicants for a lifeguard must possess a valid Lifeguard Certification OR the applicant must agree as a requirement of employment to possess one within 30 days of employment.  

Applicants must possess a current CPR/First Aid Certification.

Criminal background check:  A satisfactory criminal background check is required as a condition of hire.  The recruiting agency may require the applicant to pay for the criminal background check as part of the conditional offer of hire.
