This position is critical to transforming a team currently responsible for Enterprise Architecture, Data Management, and Governance to a team that leads Enterprise Data Management (EDM) and enables data to become a strategic asset for the State. The new team will be responsible for Data Governance, Architecture & Design, Modeling, as well as Data Integration, Analytics and Reporting. The EDM team will also align Geographic Information Systems and Open Data for transparency of information for Delaware citizens. The principle responsibilities of the Director are to provide overall strategic, technical and operational leadership of the team, including introducing and managing leading tools and technologies for overall Data Management. This position is also responsible for critical data initiatives that have statewide implications, such as the Family Services Cabinet Council (FSCC) dashboard, the Delaware Integrated Data System (DIDS), and the implementation of Enterprise Business Intelligence to enable state agencies to make better decisions using data.
The Director must be capable of comfortably engaging with technical resources, “C” level executives, and The Governor’s Cabinet members. This position requires a highly organized, self motivated, detailed oriented problem solver and leader.
