JOB REQUIREMENTS for Assistant Medical Examiner
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
This position has statewide responsibilities requiring travel throughout the State. The State of Delaware provides transportation services to State agencies.
This posting may be closed on or before July 1, 2020, upon filling the vacant position.
A satisfactory background check (including a fingerprint based background check administered by the Delaware State Police) is required as a Condition of Hire. The selected candidate will be required to submit a buccal swab for DNA upon employment and subjected to randomized drug testing during the term of their employment.
The applicant must possess Board certification in Forensic Pathology or must obtain Board Certification in Forensic Pathology within 24 month of hire.
