Western Connecticut State University (WCSU) is a constituent unit of the Board of Regents for Higher Education (BOR), Connecticut State Colleges and Universities. This Office Assistant opening is for Western Connecticut State University's Cashier's Office located on the Midtown Campus at 181 White Street, Danbury, CT. WCSU's Cashier’s Office is responsible for student billing and collection of all monies due the University, operating under the guidelines and policies set forth by the CSU Board of Trustees. The environment is energetic and very fast paced, particularly during peak billing season. Inquires come via telephone, fax, email, electronic download and in-person.

The work hours for these positions are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (evening & weekend hours may be required during busy times).

In a state agency this class is accountable for independently performing a full range of general clerical functions or for carrying out responsibility for the flow and completion of clerical work in an assigned area.
Performs the full range of general clerical duties as described in the following areas:
College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one/half (1/2) year of experience.
Persons having responsibility for supervising or observing the behavior of inmates or custodial individuals will be required to possess a high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certification by the time of permanent appointment.
