Western Connecticut State University (WCSU) is a constituent unit of the Board of Regents for Higher Education (BOR), Connecticut Sate Colleges and Universities. These temporary Maintainer positions is to provide support for Western Connecticut State University's Department of Environmental & Facilities Services – Ground Maintenance & Custodial Services areas. The Candidate will be responsible for a variety of maintainer tasks on the Midtown and Westside Campuses of Western Connecticut State University located in Danbury, CT. Eligible candidates in this class must possess and retain a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's license.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. A medical exam, drug screen and criminal background check will be required prior to offer of employment.

Salary Information: *The entry level rate for this class will be ten (10%) percent below Step 1 of the salary grade. Upon completion of the initial working test period the incumbent’s salary will be adjusted to the TC pay plan, Step 1 of the salary grade for this class.

In a state agency this class is accountable for performing basic tasks of an unskilled nature (e.g. requiring little prior experience or training; most tasks can be learned quickly on the job) in one or several of the following areas:
- building and equipment maintenance (operational and remedial)
- grounds care
- food services
- operation of trucks of less than five ton capacity
- parking garage
