In the State of Connecticut, Naugatuck Valley Community College (NVCC), is a constituent unit of the Board of Regents for Higher Education (BOR), Connecticut State Colleges and Universities (CSCU). Established in 1967, NVCC serves the Northwestern Connecticut region with accessible, innovative and affordable educational and cultural opportunities. As an Achieving the Dream Leader Institution, NVCC responds to the academic and workforce development needs of a diverse community by awarding associate degrees and certificates in academic programs that transfer to four-year universities along with career-track programs in business, criminal justice, early childhood education, human services and computer information systems.
We are recruiting for four (4) Custodian positions to work in our high-volume maintenance department. This position is full-time, second shift, 37.5 hours per week position at our Waterbury Campus. These 2nd Shift positions work Monday - Thursday 3:00pm-11:00pm and Friday 1:00pm - 9:00pm.
Note: *The entry level rate for this class will be ten percent (10%) below Step 1 of the salary grade. Upon completion of the initial working test period, the incumbent's salary will be adjusted to the TC pay plan, Step 1 of the salary grade for this class.

This position is categorized as Emergency Support Services/Essential Staff. Must be willing and able to work during emergency closures/delayed openings due to inclement weather or for significant events that effect campus operations.
