The State of Connecticut, Department of Aging and Disability Services (ADS), Bureau of Education and Services for the Blind is recruiting for an Education Consultant for the Blind (Mobility Instruction). The selected candidate would be responsible for providing direct instruction in safe travel techniques to children who are blind. They will also be responsible for consultation services to school district staff, parents, professional and paraprofessionals who interact with children on assigned caseload.

● Must be knowledgeable in the principles and methods of teaching Orientation and Mobility to students who are blind and visually impaired, including students with multiple impairments.
● Must be knowledgeable in Orientation and Mobility assessments, individualized instruction, family support, professional consultation and collaboration, and community education.
● Must be knowledgeable in managing a large caseload of diverse students.
