The State of Connecticut, Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection is recruiting for a Leadership Associate with the target class of Assistant Director of Forensic Biology and DNA, located in the DNA Unit within the Division of Scientific Services in Meriden CT. This is a full time 40 hour per week position, Monday - Friday schedule. The DNA Unit of the Division of Scientific Services receives approximately 6,000 cases per year for Forensic Biological screening testing and DNA testing.
As a Leadership Associate with the target class of Assistant Director of Forensic Biology and DNA, you are required to complete a one to three year(s) training program (depending on experience and education that the selected candidate possesses). This training program will be conducted at the Division of Scientific Services. The incumbent will receive formalize training to become familiar with the operation of each Unit within the Division of Scientific Services. The remaining portion of the training program will focus on Forensic Biology and DNA Management.

Note: Appointments to this class shall be five percent below the minimum of the designated class OR the salary of a current employee if it exceeds that amount up to the maximum of the salary grade of the designated class.
