The State of Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) is recruiting for a Transportation District Maintenance Special Services Section Manager position in the Bureau of Highway Operations, District 3, New Haven. It is a full time 40 hour position in the Managerial Pay Plan MP66. The hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. The position is responsible for supervising engineers and other professional staff in the investigation and inspection of permits, traffic and drainage issues and coordinating District Maintenance training programs in the District 3 Maintenance office.
In order to be considered for this job opening, you must be a current State of CT employee of the Department of Transportation, who has permanent state status* and meet the Minimum Qualifications as listed on the job opening. You must specify your qualifications on your application.
*For employees in the classified service, permanent status is obtained after successful completion of a working test period. For employees in the unclassified service, permanent status is obtained after serving in a position for at least six months (full-time equivalent).
