The State of Connecticut, Department of Banking (DOB) seeks qualified individuals for the position of Fiscal/Administrative Manager 1. The work location is 260 Constitution Plaza, Hartford. This position is a 40 hour work week, Monday through Friday, 1st shift.
This position functions as the agency's chief financial officer and directs fiscal functions for the DOB. These functions include: Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Budget preparation and monthly financial reporting. Revenue of 35M, expenditures of 20M per Fiscal Year. This position manages one Fiscal Office. Duties include but not limited to: Coordinating and managing all fiscal activities for DOB; develops and analyzes reports; interprets Laws and Regulations as it pertains to accounting and State Rules and Regulations; oversees Mail Services; participates as a member of the leadership team to develop strategy, Lean initiatives and evaluates the impact of proposed Legislation/regulation; manages staff; prepares annual performance appraisals; serves as liaison for Records Management, Lean Management and financial reporting to external agencies (i.e. Auditors of Public Accounts, Comptrollers, Treasurer, OPM, DAS and outside vendors.

1. College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree.
2. A Master's degree in public administration, business administration, or accounting may be substituted for one (1) additional year of the General Experience.
