The State of Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT), is currently seeking a Transportation District Services Agent 1, in the P-4 Bargaining Unit. This position is a 40 hour position, Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm; located in District 1 Highway Operations, Special Services Section. The incumbent will be responsible for independently performing a full range of tasks in the inspection of work performed under permit or of road conditions involving traffic regulatory measures.
Incumbent is required to possess a valid driver's license and to travel to all locations throughout District 1 area from Durham/Wallingford to the Massachusetts state line.
In order to be considered for this job opening, you must be a current State of CT employee of the Department of Transportation, who has permanent state status*, and meet the Minimum Qualifications as listed on the job opening. You must specify your qualifications on your application.
*For employees in the classified service, permanent status is obtained after successful completion of a working test period. For employees in the unclassified service, permanent status is obtained after serving in a position for at least six months (full-time or full-time equivalent).

One (1) year of the General Experience must have been in the inspection of highway construction, reconstruction, maintenance and/or drainage projects or traffic control studies.
