The Department of Developmental Services - Central Office/West Region - has one (1) current full-time job opportunity for a Developmental Services Investigator in the Division of Investigations based out of the DDS office in Waterbury, CT.
This is a full-time forty (40) hour per week position. The work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:00pm. However, must be flexible in order to address investigation needs.

Incumbents in this class will be required to possess and retain a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's license.
Incumbents in this class will be required to travel on a statewide basis.
If selected for further consideration, at time of interview, State employees may be required to provide last two (2) service ratings.

1. College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree.
2. A Masters Degree in a human services field may be substituted for an additional year of the General Experience.
3. Up to six years of law enforcement experience may be substituted for an additional year of the General Experience.
4. Any combination of the above substitutions allowed.
• Demonstrated experience conducting investigations
• Experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities
• DDS work experience
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word and Outlook)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
1. Incumbents in this class may be required to travel.
