Who We Are:
The Paid Family and Medical Leave Insurance Authority (PFMLIA) is a quasi-governmental agency formed by statute and signed into law by Governor Ned Lamont in 2019. Our mission is to help Connecticut’s workforce navigate health challenges and life changes with greater financial security. Through a trust funded by employees, the Authority makes benefits payments to eligible employees when either the employee or their family member takes a leave from work to care for themselves or a family member.

We are seeking an adaptable, creative-thinking, self-starter for our newly established and fast paced authority. Quick learning and key communication is vital for successful delivery of services. The Chief of Staff will serve as a highly collaborative team member of the CT PFMLIA. This crucial role will work both within the Authority and across state agencies to help ensure that the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the Authority can proactively execute the plans of the Authority.

Position Details:
Location: Our home office is conveniently located in the greater Hartford area! Willingness to travel throughout Connecticut and the northeast corridor, as well as periodic travel to other states as needed.
Hours: This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, forty hours per week. Hours of work may include evenings and weekends.
Benefits: Employees of the PFMLIA will be quasi state employees and will be eligible for group life insurance and health and dental benefits.
