The State of Connecticut Department of Developmental Services (DDS) - North Region - currently has nine (9) job opportunities for full-time Developmental Services Worker 2's (DSW2) in Newington, based at the following locations:
These are full-time thirty five (35) hours per week position with the following schedules:
Position #1:
PC# - 018953 – 73 Mountain Road: Third Shift
Schedule: Tuesday thru Saturday, 11:30pm - 6:30am; Regular Days Off: Sunday & Monday
Position #2:
PC# - 022423 – 73 Mountain Road: Second Shift
Schedule: Saturday & Sunday, 1:30pm - 8:30pm; Monday & Tuesday, 2:00pm – 9:00pm; Wednesday, 4:30pm - 11:30pm; Regular Days Off: Thursday & Friday
Position #3:
PC# - 020047 – 67 Mountain Road: Second Shift
Schedule - Week 1: Saturday & Sunday, 1:30pm - 8:30pm; Monday, 4:30pm - 11:30pm; Tuesday & Wednesday, 2:30pm – 9:30pm Regular Days Off: Thursday & Friday

Schedule: Sunday Thru Thursday, 11:30pm – 6:30am; Regular Days Off: Friday & Saturday

Schedule: Sunday thru Thursday, 11:30pm – 6:30am; Regular Days Off: Friday & Saturday

Schedule: Sunday thru Thursday, 11:00pm – 6:00am; Regular Days Off: Friday & Saturday

PC# - 019550 – 515 Maple Hill Avenue: Third Shift
Schedule: Tuesday thru Saturday, 11:30pm – 6:30am; Regular Days Off: Sunday & Monday
However, must be flexible in order to meet the needs of the agency.

In order to be considered for this job opening, you must be a current State of CT employee of the Department of Developmental Services, who has permanent state status*, and meet the Minimum Qualifications as listed on the job opening. You must specify your qualifications on your application.
*For employees in the classified service, permanent status is obtained after successful completion of a working test period. For employees in the unclassified service, permanent status is obtained after serving in a position for at least six months (full-time or full-time equivalent).
If selected for further consideration, at the time of interview, State employees may be required to provide two (2) most recent Service Ratings.
