PURPOSE OF JOB CLASS (NATURE OF WORK)

In a state agency this class is accountable for independently performing work, conducting research and advising the Commissioner or Department Head on matters pertaining to legislation, regulations and administrative policy and agency communications and public relations.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

Receives executive direction from the agency head or other administrative official. 

SUPERVISION EXERCISED

May lead staff as assigned.

APPOINTMENT

Appointed in accordance with the provisions of 5-198 (29) of the Connecticut General Statutes.
