PURPOSE OF JOB CLASS (NATURE OF WORK)

This class provides for the durational employment of teachers covered by the Education Professions (P-3B) contract and in accordance with Section 5-198(m) of the General Statutes. It provides for the part-time employment of physicians, dentists, student nurses and other professional specialists requiring licensure, certification or admission to practice in professional health care (P-1 contract).

Compensation at a prevailing rate is to be determined on the basis of the type of professional service rendered.
