In the Department of Social Services this class is accountable for managing and directing programs and service delivery within a designated regional area.
Works under the direction of the Commissioner of Social Services.
Directs the staff and activities of a regional program and service delivery area.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Directs the staff and operations of the region to insure compliance with and uniformity in application of departmental policy, federal and state statutes and legal mandates and internal management directives; coordinates regional managers, staff, resources and interaction with community to promote comprehensive regional service delivery; develops and implements regional plans, policies and budgets; interacts directly or oversees interaction with community groups and representatives of other state agencies to coordinate services; represents department at regional and state functions as required; performs related duties as required.
In accordance with Public Act 95-293 and Section 17b-6(a) of the Connecticut General Statutes there shall be a regional administrator in the unclassified service for each of uniform regional service delivery areas to oversee and coordinate programs and services within the region.
