PURPOSE OF JOB CLASS (NATURE OF WORK)

In the Department of Social Services this class is accountable for independently performing a full range of tasks in support of IMPACT Eligibility Processing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) business functions.

GUIDELINES FOR JOB CLASS USE

This is a working level class. Incumbents in this class will be assigned to one or more IMPACT module within benefit eligibility, supply chain management or enterprise services automation or assigned to an integrated benefit eligibility support area. Incumbents may lead lower level employees assigned to IMPACT modules.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

Works under the general supervision of a Social Services Supervising Analyst or other employee of higher grade.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED

May lead lower level employees as assigned.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

  • Develops, writes and executes scenarios for User Testing;
  • Provides customer support to users within assigned benefit module(s);
  • Troubleshoots and resolves routine problems and system issues;
  • Assists in diagnosis and resolution of common eligibility processing issues;
  • Assists with business process mapping and business requirement gathering;
  • Collaborates with information technology staff concerning technical programming requirements;
  • Assists with implementation of system upgrades and modifications and loads data into test environment;
  • Tests and performs troubleshooting analysis;
  • Participates in data clean-up and conversion activities;
  • Conveys technical information to agency user and promotes understanding of relevant issues;
  • Develops reports specific to assigned module(s) utilizing ERP system;
  • Tests and troubleshoots data produced from reports ensuring integrity of data and results;
  • Assists with identification, development and execution of training related to ERP system and assigned module(s);
  • Participates in module team meetings;
  • May develop functional procedures and documentation in support of benefit modules;
  • May make presentations;
  • May identify training needs;
  • Performs related duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

  • Considerable knowledge of
    • common individual and/or family practices and investments;
    • IMPACT modules and how they are integrated;
  • Knowledge of
    • and the ability to map business processes;
    • programming logic, validation testing, script writing, and other troubleshooting software;
    • and ability to interpret and apply relevant agency policies and procedures as well as state/federal laws, statutes and regulations;

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE

Six (6) years of experience in a social services program, determination of client eligibility for public assistance or technical business support.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SPECIAL EXPERIENCE

One (1) year of the General Experience must have been at the level of Eligibility Services Worker or Social Services Investigator performing a full range of tasks in support of one or more eligibility services module(s).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED

  • College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equaling one half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree.
  • A Master's degree in a closely related area may be substituted for one (1) additional year of the General Experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Incumbents in this class may be required to travel.
  • Incumbents in this class may be required to possess and retain a valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s license.
