In the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Local Mental Health Authority this class is accountable for administering designated agency medical, clinical and behavioral health services programs and operations.
This class is used in the following locations:
- Capitol Region Mental Health Center
- Southeastern Mental Health Authority
- Southwest Connecticut Mental Health System
- Western Connecticut Mental Health Network
Receives administrative direction from an administrative official of higher grade.
Administers programs and operations of a facility and/or major medical service area; directs all staff.
Experience in a hospital, clinic or correctional facility as a board certified psychiatrist.
