In the Department of Correction Offender Classification and Population Management/Sentence Calculation and Interstate Management Unit this class is accountable for performing the most complex activities, providing staff training and quality review within an assigned correctional district.
One (1) position will be assigned to each Correctional District. An additional position may be established in Central Office or other location as determined by the Deputy Commissioner.
Works under the limited supervision of the Correctional Warden 2 or other employee of higher grade.
Leads Correctional Identification and Records Specialist 1’s as assigned.
One (1) year of experience as a Correctional Identification and Records Specialist 1.
In addition to the checking of references and facts presented in the employment application a background investigation will be conducted before persons are certified for appointment.
Incumbents in this class may be exposed to some risk of injury or assault by inmates.
