PURPOSE OF JOB CLASS (NATURE OF WORK)

In the Department of Housing, Hurricane Sandy Disaster Relief Unit, makes or conducts a special inquiry, investigation, examination or installation pursuant to Connecticut General Statues Section 5-198 (14).

APPOINTMENT

1. In accordance with Sections 5-198 (14) and 5-270 (g) of the Connecticut General Statues.

2. Positions in this class will be durational and will be established for a period of up to four (4) years. Positions may be extended as warranted. Requests for extensions must be made in writing to the Commissioner of Administrative Services or their designee and must provide supporting documents of project status and funding source and availability terms for the extension of work to include special inquiry, investigation, examination or installation remaining and the duration of the requested extension.

COMPENSATION GUIDELINES

Rates of compensation will be set for each position established based on a comparison between the duties of the position and any similar management classes in the classified service as required by Section 5-200 (a) of the Connecticut General Statues.
