CONNECTICUT CAREERS TRAINEE

The Connecticut Careers Trainee (Engineering And Related) or CCT Program is a developmental program designed to help people obtain the experience necessary to qualify for the designated target class of Transportation Planner 1.  The CCT Program is based on how long it will take the candidate to meet the experience and training requirements of Transportation Planner 1.

While the length of the program is typically two (2) years for incumbents with a bachelor's degree, incumbents with a master's degree in a closely related field may be eligible for a one (1)-year program.  The program cannot be less than one (1) year and cannot exceed three (3) calendar years.

Candidates must possess the general experience of the target class, Transportation Planner 1, at the conclusion of the developmental program.
