Thank you for your interest in the position of Emergency Services Dispatcher I, Exam #23-1882-01.  Applicants for this position are required to submit responses to the following supplemental questions.  Your completed responses to the supplemental questionnaire will be evaluated to further verify minimum qualifications.  Failure to answer these questions truthfully may result in disqualification from the examination process.

Do you possess the equivalent of six (6) months of experience* in the class of Clerk II or an equivalent or higher level class in the Alameda County classified service?  (Non-classified includes the District Attorney's Office, Hospital Authority, and the Consolidated Courts.)

*Experience must have included public contact.

Do you possess the equivalent of six (6) months of general clerical experience that involved public contact and completion of a public safety dispatch training course from an accredited school?

  • Normal hearing in each ear.
  • The ability to type 40 words per minute.
  • A thorough background investigation including a psychological exam.
