Thank you for your interest in the County Health Officer position. Applicants for this position are required to submit responses to the following supplemental questions.  Your completed responses to the supplemental questionnaire will be evaluated to determine your qualifications and must be completed properly in order to be given full consideration for the next phase in the selection process. Additionally, your responses will also be evaluated and used in the selection process in order to identify the best qualified applicants.

The County Health Officer position is one of trust and confidence and is responsible for providing medical oversight and enforcement of public health regulations for a wide variety of health programs and services. Please describe your experience working with public and private stakeholders, community boards and coalitions.

Please share your work experience in the control of communicable diseases. What effective public health interventions have you created or utilized? Be specific.

Describe your experience in analyzing and creating legislative and local policies and ordinances, including the potential impacts on local health jurisdictions.

Describe a situation where you managed surveillance and planning for improvement of public health indicators. What epidemiological survey and statistical methods were used to assess and report on the health status of the identified community?
