Thank you for your interest in the position of Procurement and Contract Supervisor, Zone 7. Your completed response to this supplemental questionnaire will be evaluated to determine your qualifications and must be completed properly in order to be given full consideration for the next phase in the selection process. Responses should be specific, thorough and succinct. A lack of adequate detail in the supplemental questions and in your application may result in failure or disqualification for this recruitment. Clarity of expression, grammar, spelling and the ability to follow instructions will be considered in the evaluation process. Describe your education and public sector procurement experience that qualifies you for this position. Provide any professional certifications or licenses you have. In your response, include your verifiable work experience leading or supervising the following areas:

    1. Administering complex bid packages (Invitation for Bids, Request for Proposals, or Request for Qualifications)
    2. Working with Governmental Contracts
    3. Qualifying vendors and vendor records maintenance
    4. Procurement card programs (“P-Cards”)

Describe your verifiable work experience identifying, developing, recommending, and implementing a procurement section’s goals, programs, policies, procedures, or systems that enhance fiscal control, efficiency, and compliance.

Describe your verifiable work experience in supervising or leading, planning, coordinating, and directing the work of professional procurement staff in their assigned functions. Provide examples where you implemented departmental change, delegated assignments, scheduled workloads, and monitored performance. How did you communicate information and motivate staff?

Describe your verifiable work experience with Contract Administration - more specifically, the process to which contracts, service agreements, or other written legal agreements for an organization are developed, reviewed and administered. Include your experience developing contracts or service agreements and preparing and presenting staff reports to the Board.

Describe your verifiable work experience utilizing, maintaining, and implementing procurement modules in enterprise resource planning systems (ERP) or financial information systems. ERP processes for procurement include requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, and vendor/ supplier records maintenance. Be sure to include your specific role and duties, years of experience, and the type(s) of system(s) you have used.
