DESCRIPTION
Under supervision, in the Registrar of Voter’s Department, to assist in canvassing election returns, and to do related work as required.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
NOTE: The following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Each individual in the classification does not necessarily perform all duties listed.

1. Receives election returns from precinct workers on election night; checks for completion of all required forms.

2. Conducts an unofficial canvass of returns by tabulating the totals listed for each precinct.

3. Places packages of ballots and accompanying forms in vaults.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
NOTE: The Civil Service Commission may modify the Minimum Qualifications in the announcement of an examination.

Ability to:

1. Read and write English.

2. Follow written and oral instructions.

3. Perform simple clerical and manual tasks.
