Nature of Work

The fundamental reason this position exists is to manage the daily operations of the Montgomery Regional Airport vehicle parking area. The essential functions of the position are supervises employees; verifies and maintains accurate records of short and long term parking; performs maintenance tasks; in the absence of the Parking Attendant and/or Parking Supervisor, collects parking fees and maintains parking records. The Airport Vehicle Parking Manager supervises the Airport Vehicle Parking Supervisor and Attendants. Incumbents in this classification receive supervision from the Deputy Airport Director.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or G.E.D. Three years experience managing a public or private parking facility to include one year supervisory experience.

NOTE:  Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.

 

Special Requirements

Must maintain a current Alabama driver’s license as needed to drive a vehicle to make bank deposits. Must submit to a 5-year employment background check as needed to satisfy Federal Aviation Administration requirements.
