NATURE OF WORK

A Director, Media Relations, Maryland Department of Labor (DOL) provides media direction and handles media issues on behalf of an organization.  The employee in this classification functions as the link between the organization and the outside world as far as information and communication is concerned.  The employee in this classification ensures that the organization has a good name and reputation. The employee in this classification liaisons with the marketing department to publicize the company’s goods, services and events.

Ensures that the organization he works for has a good name and reputation;

Liaisons with the marketing department to publicize the company’s goods, services and events;

Performs other related duties.
