Summary Statement

This position works under the supervision of a clinical superior and is responsible for preparing and implementing behavioral support strategy plans.  Duties include: preparing plans and reports through observation, functional assessment and evaluation, functioning in a treatment team, visiting and using appropriate interventions and techniques with clients who have episodes of behaviors that limit their abilities to interact socially, assisting clients with social assimilation. Interacting with professionals, staff, families and guardians for consultation, training and consents as required.

Essential Functions

  • Prepares and implements behavioral support strategies and plans as a result of direct client observation, evaluation of client functioning, and review of reports prepared by professional and direct care personnel.
     
  • Administers, scores and reports results of evaluation and assessments of client functioning.
     
  • Reviews treatment plans for clients in community-based facilities to ensure quality of care.  Develops and implements changes in treatment plans to correct deficiencies and monitors ongoing application of treatment plans.
     
  • Provides training to direct care, para-professional and professionals staff in the methods and techniques of implementing behavioral support strategies and plans.
     
  • May serve as a consultant to community based facilities, foster or group homes in the           
    development and implementation of individual client treatment plans and/or person centered planning.
     
  • May serve on various committees and working groups reviewing client progress and/or studying various issues and program plans.
     
  • Interacts and supports the work of other professionals including but not limited to Psychiatrists, Psychologists and Psychological Assistants.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Behavior Analyst
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

  1. Possession of a Bachelors degree or higher in Behavioral or Social Science or related field. 
  2. Six months experience in developing functional assessment plans by assessing behavioral needs and determining behavioral objectives.
  3. Six months experience in evaluating and assessing client functioning using a variety of formal tests and survey tools.
  4. Six months experience in making recommendations as part of a clients service plan such as clinical treatment, counseling, or determining eligibility for health or human services/benefits.
  5. Six months experience in interpreting laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.

Conditions of Hire

Pre-employment Drug Testing:  Upon a conditional offer, you must undergo pre-employment drug testing as part of the hiring process.

Criminal background check:  A satisfactory criminal background check is required as a condition of hire.  The recruiting agency may require the applicant to pay for the criminal background check as part of the conditional offer of hire.

Upon a conditional offer, the applicant must undergo a pre-employment base line two step tuberculin skin test (TST) as part of the hiring process.
